In fact, it is in May when the International Competition of New Roses of the Villa de Madrid is organized every year. Similar competitions are held in some European cities such as Paris, Rome, Geneva, Belfast. There is also another popular contest “Rosa de Madrid” in which anyone can vote for the most beautiful rose. A plant of rose will be given to the winner, who has voted for the rose most voted by all participants.

The Rose Garden is located in Parque del Oeste, near the Temple of Debod and the cableway which takes you from Moncloa to Casa de Campo: so it’s a perfect plan for a trip this weekend, so you can enjoy all the charms of spring.
